Hi There,

I am new here, but I just want to sort this problem I am having out..

Basically when I feather the selection tool and delete the selection I have selected I get a faded delete :/ It doesnt delete upto the selection edge...

As I said I have feathered the selection tool because I want the curve on my graphic I am creating :)

Here is a an image of my problem. Basically I want a precise selection across the edge/line and not the fade :)

Many Thanks and I hope you can help me,

Tristan

hi,
I did a little experimentation based on the fact that the fade radius actually starts inside the selection and the delete portion applies up the start of the fade..... so the issue in my mide was how to change the fade radus to zero without losing the position the designation are.... does that make sense to you....lol.....

anyway this is what i came with to accomplish... there maybe otherways this is worked for me...

1. after you delete the area you want.... you will still have selection (dancing ants) showing....

2. the with the marquee too , which you should already have selected, do aright click and clik convert to workpath......

3. then select the pen tool,,, rightle on the workpath and click make into selection.. you will get a little window about fade value make that 0 (zero)

at the point you get your dancing ants again and all you need to do is just hit the DELETE key again you'll find the fade is gone....

now that just one way to do it.. there probably other ways.... and i'll be playing see what i can find but otherwise the above meathod works

just aafter i posted this i came across another meathod, and it simial

instead of using the marque too.... use the rounded ractangle too...

1. select the round rectangle tool and assign radius you want for the corners..

2. then make your box and then do a right click and click make into selection ... the delete.....
