This may seem weird, but I wanted to change some textures of a game I play, TES: Oblivion.

I've added a link to megaupload wich contains a .rar file with the 2 .psd files in it.

The grey/silver areas of the "Cyrodilboots" should be the same gold as the areas in the "Cyrodilcuirass".

I tried it myself using the color replacement tool, but for some reason, it doesn't get as dark as the color I selected

Hope someone can bend over this.

Greets

You should try using Image > Adjustments > Match Color instead of replace.
Down the bottom of match color choose the other picture as the source.
Might need to crop the cuirass image to make sure its only the gold color being matched.
Drop the luminance to make it darker.

Ill have a go if you have no luck.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I tried the match color, and it indeed did more what I expected, but it's not quit the same..

So if you wanna give it a try, I really appreciate it :)

PS: Be sure to use the Boots.psd file in this winrar

and if you have time, could you also have a go at this?

It's a shield, so only the grey areas need to be gold.

Seems that the original maker made the skins a tad darker then they were supposed to be

I was expecting alot, but not this!

The textures came out just as I wanted! I put the files ingame and it matches the armor perfectly, not really the same, but very, VERY close!

Thanks for the job mate, thank you very much~!

Well, like I said, they aren't perfectly the same, but you hardly notice any difference! I'm really glad the shield came out ok to, for the original file was far to dark!

Heck, I even consider to ask you to redo the rest of the gamefiles :P

If you're interested, I've added a link to a rar file containing all the other files.

A map containing the original files needing to be recolored, and a folder containing the files as they should be

You just need to make the grey areas the same golda s you did with the boots/shield (The boots files are included, just incase you didn't had them on your pc anymor)

On the cuirass and helmet files, there are some parts that should be red, if you look at the cyrodilcuirass file, I think you'll understand what you have to do :)
