|
|
Hey guys, new here. I didn't really know where to put this question so I hope it is in the right place. Sorry if it isn't.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a simpler way to back up all my adobe product settings. Specifically Photoshop brushes, actions, workspaces, presets, ect..
I have a general idea on how to do it manually, going to each folder and copying the files. But I was really hoping someone knew of a handy program that did it for me, or a script of some sort. I have found one script but it only backs up the workspace and imports it.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. |

hi,
it seems to me almost any good backup software should accomplishwhat you want... you can set up a particular configuration for the software and such....
doing some research i saw a lot of hit referring to this program and photoshop specifically but it does seem to me it really just a general purpose backup....

of course if you familiar with make making batch files you can use that meathod.. |

hi,
although batch files been around since the early msdos 2.0 days......
a lot of people still use them even in win7 ...
myself haven't used them in years just to lazy...lol ....
you may want toreview this search results.......
http://www.bing.com/search?q=creating+windows+7+batch+files&FORM=DLCBLB&PC=MDDC&MKT=en-us
batch file are really good for repeated task such as your doing....
although a dedicated bacjyo program can save you a lot of work...lol |

Don't know of anything which is Photoshop specific, but I use a free utility called "synchtoy" (Windows) to back up specified folders to an external drive. I then use Windows to schedule it to run automatically at a particular time every night. Let me know if you want to know more. |
