Please have a look at the following web-site
http://www.evacare.net/
There are diagonal thin stripes along the header. I want to create the same effect for my web-site. How would you go about to create this effect?
Will it be difficult?
Thank you very much for your help. |

If you right click on the image, and click view>background image (Windows), you'll see that it's one long, thin graphic. If you then have a look at their style sheet (main.css) you'll find that they use this image with a horizontal repetition ("repeat-x") as part of what defines their "body" tag (HTML web speak). This is a clever way to get an effect across the whole background without using a huge image.
I don't know exactly how you would create this graphic in the first place because the diagonal lines match up perfectly, so that when you repeat the graphic it's seamless. Others might chip in here, but I suspect it's just patience and the pattern maker.
Hope this helps. |
