Hi everyone, I just need some feedback on this, nothing specific just a general critique of the sort. I'm trying to refine my fire flame and brush application technique and so your opinion will be most valuable to me. I had to post the image as a gif format, which doesn't say much on quality, only because there's a limit of 200-k.

flames are well done, the house behind them shows no sign of being burnt like it would have black stains from the smoke.
I think a house being burnt that badly would have more dark smoke pouring out into the sky as well.

Excellent observation, Auieos. You are absolutely right and I have made some mods to reflect that point by adding dark, textured areas to the appropriate places. And finally a bit of contrast to bring out the highlights. (See below) Hope that works and thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the encouraging feedback, SL. I've made further modification to this image by adding more smoke and using the Pen and Path tools to direct the flow away from the house. I've also added burning embers for a more realistic effect.
Believe it or not but this is my first actual image created in PhotoShop CS3. Thanks again!
