hi. i designed a business card in cs5. i also downloaded a template for 10 cards per sheet. how do i copy the card 10 times to fit the template automatically? it would take a long time to get them aligned properly if i tried it manually. thanks for your help, boyd.[/url]

You should be able to use alt/drag (move tool) to copy the layer you created to the new position. Once you have the top five populated select all the top five layers the alt/drag (with the move tool) and drag the copies to the bottom five positions

what a cool idea! i dragged and dropped them, but it didn't occur to me to drag the whole upper layer to the bottom! ever feel dumb? i do, now, lol.

i'd still like to find an automated way to do it, but "picture package" was left out of the new and improved cs5. ?????

supposedly there are some workarounds, but none of them have worked for me yet.

thanks, boyd.

It might also be worth having a quick look at the PDF output facility in Bridge. Choose the "Output" workspace (top RHS) then choose PDF (as opposed to Web Gallery). It seems to allow you to adjust the margins, repeat one photo etc.

Not sure if this helps, but you might not be aware that in Photoshop you can auto align layers? Do it by selecting the layers that you want to align, click the move tool then select one of the layouts at the top. (or Layer>align/distribute).

I've made a batch of business cards before, but I actually used MS Publisher to create the multiples (I think MS Word can probably do it too). It might even be easier than Photoshop for this sort of job?

Hope you get it how you like it.
