Gradients and brushes aren't smooth.... HELP!

Hey All,

I don't know when the problem started, but it's extremely bothering me, as I'm a web designer.

When I use light gradients (like white to light gray) the results I get aren't smooth, and I get a "block" instead of a smooth gradient.

Same goes with the brushes.

Please see attached example.

They look smooth on my monitor. Monitor, GFX, or bits per channel issue possibly.
