Hello all! I've been a self taught photoshop guy and would be on a basic level. For the past 8 years, I've been using photoshop with no problems on pc but I just bought a mac a few months ago and the images that I make, say thumbnails for a website seem to be shrinking themselves.

I am resizing images to 1000 pixels wide in 3:2 aspect ratio to fit my site and the thumbnails are shrinking themselves to be smaller than the container they're in. I've attached a screenshot. You can see on the selected thumbnail that it is surrounded by the orange selection border and the thumb is supposed to fill that whole area but it's 1/3rd the size.

It looks proper above and when I click on it to increase the size, it does in fact, resize to 1000 pixels wide.

Also, when I make images and send them to my printer, I have to stretch the image out even though it measures the right size in photoshop.

Does anyone know why it would be doing this? I'm pulling what remaining hair I have out Frown

Thank you in advance!

Sorry, I'm a bit more slow than usual today, I'm not clear on where these thumbnails are? Are they thumbnails used as links on a website?

What method are you using to create the thumbnails? And where are you viewing them?

As for printing, the resolution as will as the number of pixels will affect how it prints. Higher resolution will squash more pixels in to a smaller space. Could this be a factor?
