I see this effect everywhere! Especially in those indie clothing catalogs.
I've been following this blog called Fashiontoast for a while now and her pictures always come out great. I would like to know how to create this effect for my pictures as well. Also, keep in mind I'm still learning how to use ps so some of the terms used may not make any sense to me...yet! Thanks for all your helpp :

I'm also using ps cs4 and don't have a dslr. I just have a sony cybershot with 14.1 megapixels. |
