|
|
hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me on why the cursor doesn't show on certain brush sizes. for example, when i use sizes 1 - 319, it shows. but once i select 320 up to 680, it won't show up on the screen. but anything bigger than 680 will start showing again.
the caps lock is off and i can see the cursor at sizes bigger than 680 so its not going past the image size.
help would be much appreciated. thanks! |

Hi and welcome to the forum. I seem to remember a similar question before and think the answer was to update graphic drivers. I would start there and report back if it doesn't work _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

It's a pretty strange problem. I can't think of anything within Photoshop which displays some brush sizes and not others.
I don't think this will solve it, but it might provide further clues if you try a few of the different options for painting cursors in the preferences (edit>preferences>Cursors). e.g Normal brush tip vs Full size brush tip.
Does this happen for all brush types or only a particular one? Does it happen for the eraser tool and other tools which use the brushes?
You can also try resetting the brush tool. Click in the drop down next to the brush (top left), then click on the triangle in the circle, then select reset tool.
Another thing to try is to see if there's any difference when you change the brush size using different methods. e.g you can change brush size in the menu at the top, or you can hit the square brackets, you can right click and you can also alt-rightclick-drag left/right. Do they all produce the same results?
Sorry I can't help more. |

yeah its strange. sometimes the size varies, but theres always an interval where the brush doesn't show. the same goes with the eraser and other tools. maybe i should uninstall and reinstall photoshop? im using the trial version right now but i plan to buy it through my school bookstore after the trial is over. i wonder if its just the trial version... |
