I am a new member and user of Photoshop.

I am looking for a way to create a single image that is made up of 4 or more images butt joined together. Specifically, I would like to print out a single sheet, say 20" x 20" containing 4 - 8" x 8" images for comparison purposes. I have seen tutorials on creating "contact" sheets in Bridge and also a method of using layers/merging and separating the images prior to printing. Is there not a more straightforward way to accomplish this?

Thank you very much in advance. I enjoy reading the posts and advice from the forum experts!

hi,
why not open a new blank file with the size you want......

then open each of the other image file and click and drag that image to your new file and repeat that with the other image files ... they will all be on there own layers and you can the repostion and resize as required...

Good advice from jerryb4417. You might like to make use of:
- the grid feature (view>show>grid)
- snap to feature (view>snap to)
- aligning layers (layer>align)

Or what's even easier is the output feature of Adobe Bridge. Call up Bridge and select the 'Output' workspace (at the top). Choose 'PDF' (not Web gallery) and it prompts you for how you want your layout.
