I am a Photoshop tutor at the Belfast Institute for Further and Higher Education and I want to show students how to create their own original clip-art from scratch. With this is mind I was wondering whether anyone could offer me some guidance by answering the following questions?
1. What is the native file format for clip art images. I thought it was GIF but I've also read it is WMF?
2. Are the clip art images that are found on the web or in word-processing packages predominantly bitmaps or vector images?
3. I was going to ask my students to create clip art images from scratch in Photoshop by using the various drawing and painting tools. Is this the standard method for creating clip art?
4. Do you know of any sites that give an in-depth explanation of the above issues or suitable tutorials for creating clipart from scratch.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
