Hello,
I have several AI brushes that I would like to use in Photoshop and need to convert them to ABR files. Is there a way to do this?
Thank you!

hi sharon,
first i am hoping some one has a better answer than me...
my limitation is that i don't have illustrator to play with, be that said
now i am assuming you know how to create a brush in photoshop ...
after doing a lot of searching found absolutely nothing on a application or plugin that make simple importing a ai brush into photoshop in fact sveral hits just said you can't
however whatyou can do is paint your brush in illustrator and the save that file as high quality png or tif file, i thinkyou can also save it as a vertor file and the import that file into your photoshop and from you can use your procedures to create a photoshop brush ...
now this little tutorial is for going from phtoshop to illustrator and you be doing the appx reverse of this ... couldn't really find a tutorial for illustrator to photoshop ... at least nothing that similar..
like i said i hope hope others jump in.. |

Jerry,
Unfortunately, I don't have Illustrator. I downloaded the brushes from the internet and didn't realize they were ai files until I went to use them. I went searching the internet as well for answers and could not find any. Maybe it cannot be done? Thanks for trying to help though! I appreciate it!!

hi,
i think you maybe out of luck then...
the only other way i can think of if from the webiste that you got the ai brushes from if they had a good resolution picture of brush... well you can save that and then bring it into your ps and make a brush from that.... |
