I'm running CS4, we purchased it only a year and a half ago... everything has worked fine until the other day, when I use the pen tool to cut something out, sometimes it will just start duplicating anchors. It's making it really hard to work because I'm constantly going back and forth with the paths/anchors. ... I don't have a key sticking, everything else works fine. Any ideas? thanks.

Could you give an example with more detail about what happens when it "duplicates" an anchor?

There are some settings, such as Auto Add/Delete and some different options for adding/subtracting/intersecting paths which might affect it. These are located at the top.
