i am trying to create an alpha channel in .TGA format using CS3 but i cant figure it out.

can somebody please explain this to me. ive searched everywhere and cant find a good explanation!

also when i think ive got it i go to save it and i cant check the alpha channels box.

i found this thread ... and there procedure worked on ps cs2 soit might work on cs3

i was hoping to get a start to finish description of how to do it though.



i forgot to add to my original post what exactly i was trying to do. just in case its relevant...

i am trying to save a .TGA with the alpha channel to define transparent parts of the image.

turns out its not as complicated as most people make it sound.
