I am new to this forum. I am also kind of new to PS.

How can I use my crop tool as a square as opposed to a rectangle? And how do I get the complete cropped image to show? When I do it, the image gets cut off.

I'm not even sure how to speak the PS language so that you will understand my question.

I could show an example of what I mean on a website if that would help.

Welcome to the forum marcia, Shift constrains the crop to a square or you could manually input the desired dimensions in the context sensitive menu bar for the crop tool.
