I just barely bought the student and teacher version of the adobe design suite and, due to technical issues, I am thinking of reformatting or buying a new computer. Is it possible to reinstall and reregister my adobe suite using my student version's serial number?

I used to have a student version of CS2 and had no trouble installing it on a new computer (or reformatting, which I did a couple of times). I don't think that would have changed. In fact, I think I had it on my laptop as well... Anyway, you aren't breaching the licence if you transfer to your new computer, so if there were any issues you would expect Adobe to help you out. Hope it goes well.
