I am attempting to select an area of a jpg graphic to use as a pattern. When I use the rectangular tool, once I've made the selection it turns into a circle. I've never had that happen before. Also, it won't let me use the define pattern item...it's greyed out. I've made tons of patterns in the past so don't know what the heck is going on. I am using CS5.
I tried closing Photoshop down and re-starting it but that didn't help.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
