This is undoubtedly a very trite problem, but it's driving several of us nuts. A jpg file created by by a friend via scanning a photo using PS Elements was e-mailed to me as an attachment. That file can be placed into a PageMaker document from the folder to which it was saved.

However, when the file is resized in my PS CS3, using the "image size" box, and saved as using a new name, but as a jpg file, the new file cannot be placed in PM. The message in PM says the new jpg file has no data.

What is wrong, please? Thanks so much. Sorry to be a bother.

Thanks! PageMaker preceded InDesign, which I own and resolve to learn how to use in 2011. I started with PageMaker way back in about 1990 and am having difficulty weaning myself.

You have found the right direction. After some further study of PS help, I tried saving both JPG files in PSD format. Both could then be placed in PageMaker. I would swear I've used JPG files in PM before, but . . . .

This is an excellent forum for PhotoShop. After my new CS5 package arrives and is installed, I will be back. Thank you, again! Angel
