I downloaded an action that stopped and displayed messages like:
"Please open an image" and a "continue" and "stop" buttons.
How do I get an action to do that? |

If you use File>Automate>Batch you can record your action and at the bottom of the menu is an option to stop for errors I think you can insert messages that way. There may be more elegant solutions like Insert Menu Item, but I am not aware of it. I found you a bit of reading that I am pretty sure will answer your question Mr. Evening knows his onions Automating Photoshop Have fun! _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Great article Thanks thehermit!
The instructions are easy to follow, I tried it and I also tried the "insert stop" menu item from the fly out menu. "Insert stop" allows you to give the action user a mssage to read but check the "allow to continue" check box to give the user a "continue" button to press. |
