I was animating my layers and it worked fine. Than I duplicated the middle layers and rearranged them so the animation will loop back on itself seamlessly. (You know like it goes, and than rewind, and than goes again...) Than I tried animating again and it only shows up as 2 layers (but there's  and when I tried playing it nothing happens. I made sure to do make frames from layers but it doesn't work! |

With an animation you don't need to duplicate any layers. Its the frames that are duplicated.
Say you have 4 layers and you want to make it loop then it would be...
Frame 1 = Layer 1
Frame 2 = Layer 2
Frame 3 = Layer 3
Frame 4 = Layer 4
Frame 5 = Layer 3
Frame 6 = Layer 2
and then back to the start frame.
Also the 'Propagate frame 1' option catches people out a lot. Basically its an option that if you have it checked any adjustments you make to the original frame is duplicated on the rest. (So the all end up the same, same frames = no animation)
