Hi, probably not a new topic at all but I'm just getting to grips with Photoshop CS4!! I used to use Corel Photopaint. I could paste one version of a photograph over another as a layer (object in PhotoPaint) - say with slightly less saturation - and then use the interactive transparency tool to drag a graduated transparency over the top layer to let it fade gradually into the bottom layer. Is there a way to do this in CS4? Any help appreciated.

Use a layer mask with a black to white gradient on the mask.
