I just learned how select luminocity of an image as a part of an online tutorial-alt +ctrl+2. Could someone please quickly explain to me what luminocity is?. Looking at the areas selected, I assume that it is highlights and upper midtones? Am I correct?
Thank you very much

Luminosity is a measurement of brightness.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminosity

It selects anything above 62% lightness
