Alright, this has been going on for awhile now, but just in little rushes. Now it's almost constant! The selection tool will not behave at all, either unclicking, undoing itself, deselecting, random selections, all that type of thing. For whatever reason, the mouse will randomly double-click which makes things very frustrating. Layer editing is a chore in and of itself. I want my old photoshop back that would do what I tell it to! Before you tell me the usuals, I will alert you to what I've done so far:

CS4 is updated to the newest patch. It will not re-install the patch, either.
OpenGL has been enabled and disabled without the slightest change.
Resetting tools has done nothing.

I'm at my wit's end as this is uber annoying and very unmanageable? Anything I can do before trying to re-install my CS4 package?

Its probably adobe trying to get you to upgrade. LOL

Dont know about your problem, you can alway try deleting the settings.
(Not sure if that's what u meant by resetting tools)

Start the Photoshop while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Well, when I have a problem like that, I usually google the error codes that come up, or other pertinent information. I usually find that I'm not the only person having the problem. Sorry I'm not much more help Confused
