I meet almost all of the system requirements for cs5 except I lack the Shader Model 3.0  , and I was wondering which features(graphics) would require this? Is it worth to get cs5, cs5 extended, or neither without this Shader Model 3.0? Sorry I'm new to this..  |

My best guess would be it has something to do with the new Photoshop 3D features.

'Some GPU-accelerated features in Photoshop CS5 require Shader Model 3.0'
Only some, not the regular features. (I have CS5 running on a laptop, on board graphics, no shader )
Obviously it depends on your situation what you should buy. New software is more future-proof than old. New video card possibly if your keen. |

Good to know that it will run on a laptop without the shader too.
