I installed my new copy of Photoshop. My hard drive has a recovery partition (D( that is completely full. My C drive has over 1T free space. PS won't start and gives a message that the disk where the scratch drives are located is full. Then PS exits immediately. I think it is trying to open the scratch drives in the recovery partition. Am I correct? I would appreciate any ideas on how to solve this problem.

Click on EDIT->Preferences and when the dialog box opens click on Performance, make sure Drive C has a tick mark in the box next to it under Active. Click on OK and restart the application again.

I have the same problem but I have over a terrabite of free space. I just installed a 1.5T HD (C) and have tried to reinstall Photoshop 7.0 several times, (each time uninstalling it first) but it keeps giving the message "Scratch Drive Full", then closes the application. I also have a 500 Gig hard drive (D) as a storage drive that has most of it's space open as well. How do I solve the problem or designate the second drive as the "scratch drive" before opening the program? Thanks.
