trying to figure out how to achieve the wind sand swept effect in the banner at the top of this sales add. I need to replicate and don't even know what to search to find out.

Sorry you haven't gotten a reply to this as it's pretty easy. If it were me I'd use the liquify filter. I would spray a soft tone using the airbrush, then manipulate the shape using the liquify filter. Hope this helps.

Oh yes, I forgot. I would make several layers, then move and shape them until you get that "saturn ring" effect as in that example. Also, adjusting the opacity of the layers will also give a dynamic effect.

Or..you could make it easy on yourself and find some free brushes online..there's a ton of them...look at some of the 'abstract' brushes.

I tell ye,this photoshop is real hard!!My girlfriend introduced me to it,i looked at what she was doing and said"thats easy to do".wow,im regretting them words now.She is brilliant at it though and i love it even so.
