i have these photos i have attache one here. i would like to make the background pure white. i tried taking the photo with a white sheet but its not pure white. i tried using magic wand tool on this but just wont work. anyone have any suggestions on how i can get the background white in photoshop.

Probably easier to take another pic using white cardboard and better lighting. If your desperate you could try playing with levels. |

Use the quick selection tool to select whatever the object in the picture is.. Then create a levels adjustment layer with the selection still active. This will make a mask of the object, you will need to invert the mask (CTRL + I) or CMD + I on a mac. In the levels adjustment panel use the set white point eyedropper and click on the top right corner or the image.. where the darker area of white is.. that will change everything with that luminance level or lighter to white. After that you can go into your mask panel and fool with the mask settings to get your selection to something you will be happy with.. also you could just lower the opacity of the level adjustment to make something that looks more natural. |
