I tried disk clean up on my PC with no luck, smart sharpen still very slow.
This is a new PC and I'm using only 40.8 GB out of the 460 from the hard drive.
Any suggestions?. Thanks in advance.

How much RAM do you have would be the obvious question, followed by your version of Photoshop and how much RAM do you have allocated within Photoshop Preferences?

It seems like you have enough RAM to cope, but I would be tempted to whack it up to the top range, say 70%-80%. Update video drivers is an obvious one and judging by your screen-shot, change the number of cache levels for your history state to 1, I promise you won't notice the difference, but your PS will.
Unless the file you are processing is huge or you are using a 3rd party filter, I can't really think of much more.

I did it all, including updating the video driver ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650 which was already version 8.633.00
Any other suggestions?
