This is the only Family photo we ever had professionaly done. So you can imagine how happy my mom will be to see it restored.

If anyone has any Idea what size I would be able to get away with blowing it up too, I would really love some advice.

Thanks in advance.

OK, a completely new edit so it's gonna be different than the other one.

Edit:
This is the corrected image I mentioned below.

AWESOME THANKS STEVE!!

Did the resolution drop? It's hard to tell. It's still awesome either way.

sweet! I think photo bucket is dropping the image resolution. This image is 263KB where the original is like 18MB .Would you happen to have a link that I can download the full resolution?

Thanks, Scott

Hi Scott.
The original was a bitmap which is a huge file compared to a JPG.

You're right about Photobucket dropping the resolution, I never realized.

There is a way for me to get the file to you I just have to remember how, it's through another site.

I'll PM you with a link later today.
The new image is 4MB

I have made a start on the photograph. Have worked for about 1/2 an hour so far and estimate that it will take between 6-9 hours in total. Colours are all going to have to be corrected individually and blemishes removed. If you can wait a few days I would be happy to finish the picture between work assignments.

Attached a tiny preview to give you a flavour, but there is still more to do, even on the preview.
