I'm having a few issues with 64-bit photoshop cs5 on windows 7. I installed and activated and the 64-bit version fails on startup. I figured that's something I can look into and figure out at a later date as long as I can use the x86 version which works fine.

However one problem I've run into- it set 64bit up as the default to open certain extensions. Now- I don't know if it's because the 64bit is already there in the list, but now, even when I hit the button to browse for a new application to open with, and I explicitly put the path to the x86 version (in 'program files (x86') ), it still seems to be trying to open the 64 bit, because I get the same error, which I never see when opening the x86 version manually. It's like it's saying "oh, you want photoshop- here's the version I already had in the list for you!"

Does anyone know how to get around this and force it to choose the 32 bit version? I wanted to just uninstall 64-bit, but it seems like the uninstaller wants to force you to remove both or nothing...
