HI, I just started on this forum, Glad I found you.
I recently started selling stock photography and there are times when I need to isolate an object using extract or the magnetic tool.
When I start out the file is the correct acceptable size for the stock website, but after the image is isolated I lose size when I save the image at maximum 12. the size goes from 3.6MB down to 2.1 or less in the save file program.
Even thought the "image size" in adjustments says the file is still 29 MB
Is this clear as mud? :-)
Thank you for any help with this |

Hi Cynthia,
29 megs will be the open and uncompressed file size. JPEG applies compression and therefre results in a much smaller file.
What format did the image start out as?
Hope that helps _________________ Matt
