|
|
I use Lightroom 3 and CS5 in my workflow and have just noticed a strange behavior in CS5. I would appreciate any comments that would explain the behavior or help me eliminate it. Thanks.
Environment:
I have a dual monitor system using Lightroom 3 and CS5 in a Vista64 environment.
Workflow:
1. I was sorting and organizing my images with Lightroom.
2. I found an image I liked (colors and composition were great).
3. I selected the image to be opened for editing in CS5.
4. When it opened in CS5, it appeared darker (less vibrant).
5. I thought it might be a difference in the color calibration of my monitors (Lightroom is on monitor #1 and CS5 is on monitor #2), so I decided to drag the image over to monitor #1 to test my theory.
6. Just as I selected the image and started to drag it over to monitor #1, the color changed to match Lightroom.
7. When I released the mouse button to stop dragging the image, the color reverted to the darker (less vibrant) version.
I don't understand why this would occur (obviously I would the more vibrant image). Can anyone explain? I would also appreciate any suggestions that would allow me to "correct" this behavior.
Thanks,
Dan |

What are your colour settings for Photoshop/Lightroom? Are you using RAW files? Do you have embedded profiles in the images?
Welcome to the forums danlaser. I'm afraid we might need more to give any answer. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

I'll start with the one question that I can answer with confidence.
1. Am I using RAW files... Yes.
2. What are the color settings for PS and Lightroom? - Good question... where would I confirm settings?
3. Embedded profiles? Another good question. Again, where would I verify?
Sorry for the ignorance. |
