well i have a problemo

its kind of a dumb question but i just don't no how

but how would i convert my photoshop files or jpegs or pngs to vector... which one would be easy and how would i do it, i have adobe illustrator also but i don't understand how to do this

ive read some stuff about an adobe stremline or something but does anybody no how and can they explain?

i assume its easy

Well there are two main types of graphics. Rasters and vectors. Rasters are also called bitmaps. Anything that's a gif, jpg, or png is a raster. It's just a buch of pixels put together to make an image. Vectors on the other hand use lines called paths to create line and shape. You can create virtually anything in vector, it just gets more difficult with how complex it is. Why are vectors so favorable? Because they're completely scalable. You could make most vector images the size of a billboard with absolutely zero quality loss. How? The lines or paths are created through a series of mathematical equations. When you make a vector larger your vector program just extrapolates those mathematical equations giving you a perfect result every time.
