I can only tell what i did.
I had the problem of having to create a poster by the end of the week. I knew we had photoshop. That's it. So i searched for some tutorials on the net which could help me. I found some easy ones and used them. And that's how i started. So in short: ask yourself this question: what do you want to do on ps? And than search for more info to reach your goal.
Not sure this helps you.. but if you don't have a clue as to what you want to do, it might be a good idea to check out the guide that comes with ps. A lot is explained in it and it's bound to give you some ideas. _________________ Witam

Saying you can do something for a deadline is a great incentive, especially when you can't.
Read books. I don't know where you are in the world but buy magazines such as Computer Arts (www.computerarts.co.uk) and keep up with the current fashion and whats new in the world of graphic design and code. There are obviously other design mags similiar to CA, it's just the one I cut my teeth on.
Follow tutorials as mentioned.
Experiment.
Have fun, but don't expect art or finsihed work to come from tutorials you need to know the techniques and then apply them in your own style. No-one needs to see another MAC OSX gel pill tutorial. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
