broken jpeg files when saved after editing

Once in a while after editing a raw file and I save it as a jpeg, it will show up in the orgenizer as a broken file and not viewable. If I reopen it in the editor it will show up. If I open it up in windows picture viewer I can see it, just not in the elements orgenizer. It happened to me using elements 6 on my old laptop and now on my new laptop and elements 7, what's up?
