The hard Drive I use for a scratch disk in photoshop has died. Unfortunately now Photoshop CS4 wont load because the disk is 'unavailable'. How can I change the scratch disk if photoshop won't even load?? Is there a way around this problem? Can I force PS4 to switch the scratch disk to a different hard drive without opening the software?

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences on startup.
Hold, Ctrl+Alt+Shift whilst starting Photoshop (keep them held).
