Hi, thanks to you guys, i finished my filmstrip in Photoshop. However, now i have the issue of saving. I need to save it back into a .flm ( i think.........go to http://www.alienryderflex.com/rotoscope/) that website is where i am getting my info. at the end, i need to save it as a filmstrip, but there is no option like that in Photoshop. Appreciate some help, thanks.

Well, I did some research on the .flm file format in conjuction with photoshop and everything I find says that you should be able to save it as a .flm. I can't save anything as .flm either, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

Try going to Layer -> Flatten Image before you save it as .flm.

NOTE: If you want to keep an editable version, make sure to save a copy as a psd before you flatten it.

Did you try just saving the changes to it? I would think it would just keep the file format and save the changes as a .flm.

I also found this in the Photoshop Help file. (Trusty ol' F1 is actually good for something sometimes.)

Filmstrip format is used for RGB animation or movie files created by Adobe Premiere®. If you resize, resample, remove alpha channels, or change the color mode or file format of a Filmstrip file in Photoshop, you won't be able to save it back to Filmstrip format. For further guidelines, see Adobe Premiere Help.

Hope that helped a bit.

Well, there are a ton of tutorials on rotoscoping lightsabres. Maybe you could try another one?

How big is your .flm file? Can you somehow get it to me? Maybe email or can you put it on a web server? I can't do any tests on this problem with out a .flm file...
