Hello,
I'm Natalia and I just recently discovered this forum yesterday. I could already tell that this site is going to be a new addiction for me *lol*. I have always been somewhat into photoshop but never really took the time to get too know it too well. I'm mostly just interested in making myself look better for the camera. Prior to photoshop, I hated pictures. I was convinced there was something wrong with my face. I'm not naturally photographic...but I never knew someone who actually could look so different in pictures as in real life,

People used to be shocked by how bad I looked in pics versus in real life. case in point: once in class, our professor took photos of each of us in our class for a group assignment. when it came to my picture (since she didnt know us too well) she got stuck on my picture. finally, she put the picture up on the projection screen and asked who this person was. it was me. I was sitting right in front of her but she didnt even recognize me. my best friend was also in the class and thought it was hilarious and crowed, "that doesnt even look like you!! You look bad!" She isn't kidding. Even my own boyfriend commented, "In real life you are very pretty but in pictures you just look average. At best."

So yes, Photoshop really revolutionized my life. Lol. Right now I have Photoshop Elements 4.0 but I am thinking about getting CS 4. All I really care about is making myself look better and improving my picture quality and hopefully doing some neat tricks with them. do you suggest CS 4 for me or should I stick with Elements? Thank you. LOL

Hi natalia,

Welcome the the Forums, who needs to be photogenic when you've got Photoshop right? lol

Elements is an awesome application, but CS4 would be more powerful for photo retouching. That's not to say you need it, is there anything you want to do with Elements that you currently can't?
