Here's my portrait of the maid of honor at a wedding. Again, this was composed from several photoshop layers, my own brushes and textures, and imagination.

Included are many, many unnecessary man hours thanks to my CS version of photoshop. This version fights me every step of the way. I'm about ready to use this software to microwave bagels on.

Maybe it's just windows 7, but this is the most aggravating version of PS I've ever dealt with.

I really like it, you could try adding a little more shadow possibly to the sides of the face to make it look a little more rounded as it looks a little flat, but I wish I had your talent. Great piece of work.

Agreed. A bit more shadowing in the face may help, but overall very nice. I really like how the hair and dress turned out. :)

Thanks, I agree about facial shadows. Usually I work from photos, but this one was all from my head, so I had trouble visualizing more intricate shadowing.

Overall, great composition. With the hair, if you can find some way make the hair have a natural flow, this would be a much stronger piece.
