I'm sort of a newbie, so I'll post my question in this forum. 
Does anyone out there know of a shortcut key that will apply changes to text? I hate typing and then moving my hand ALL the way over to the mouse to click that little checkmark...
You say lazy, I say efficient...

if it's the checkmark to 'commit any current edits' just hit enter on your keyboard.. it will do the same.
Oh yes i forgot to mention.. no not the 'enter' next to the letters, the one next to the numbers (on the right side of your keyboard ) otherwise you'll just go to the next line.
