I have many photos i would like to use this on. this is my first one ever that turned out this one is done at -2, 0, +1

this is done in cs3 with .jpg images I do have .raw files if that makes the difference just not with me at this time.

I would like some tips on refining it more to get the full effect

hmmm... it's OK. I think you're using HDR for the wrong type of photo.

it's a nice photo ut i agree with the above. i think there needs to be more detail and color to really apreciate HDR. that could make a great Black and white photo

High dynamic range: Taking several photographs, each with a different exposure, and combining them into one.

your photo is great! Big Grin but HDR might not be appropriate with your shot..:)
try it on other photos..
