Nice tutorial Matt. However, how to get that 1 piece out of its place? |

Thanks Trafalgar,
Manually I'm afraid. I selected it with the pen tool, jumd it to a new layer. Created another layer and filled the selection with white to give the impression the piece is missing, then moved the jumped layer to a anotherposition and added a drop shadow.
Hope that makes sense! _________________ Matt

Matt,
Many thanks for showing us hw to do this - it looks great.
I'm just getting a wee bit confused when it comes to manually making it look like you have 1 piece left to put in.
Could you please talk me through it (sorry to have to ask - my photoshop 'skills' are very limited!!)

Hey Mark,
No probs. Start off by making a selection around a piece you want to stand out. You can use any selection tool to achieve this, the lasso tool, magnetic lasso etc. I used the Pen Tool but that's probably the most difficult approach for a beginner.
Once you have a piece selected, save the selection by going to Select > Save Selection.
Is that what you were stuck on, let me know how you get on! _________________ Matt

Hi cathiejade,
Someone recently told me that if the filter/effect isn't available by default, you need to find it on the installation disc (in the goodies folder I think) and add it to the filter directory of your installation.
Hope that helps _________________ Matt
