I just switched to MAC and need to get it filled up with software. I'm concidering going with Adobe Design Standard Suite or the Design Premium Suite. I obviously want to get the best price and at $1400 for the standard and $1800 for premium thats a big chunk of cash.

My Girlfriend is a full time student. If we buy it through her its an 80 percent savings. What is the down side to going with the student version of the programs?
