Hey guys, this one will test your skills.

I've got a picture that was taken from some video with dim lighting. It is important for me to improve it as much as possible and I was wondering what ideas you have. It's pretty bad, so I'm not expecting miracles...

I'd say I'm at average skill level with photoshop CS4, so I have a few thoughts but I wanted to ask before I started working on it. The image is below.

Any ideas? Thanks!

There isn't really too much you can do. A video frame is very low resolution, and this one is very underexposed. This is with just a curves adjustment.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll experiement with curves some more and I'll also try to get rid of the glare.

Hello,

The beam of light coming through is a nice effect actually. I grabbed a random picture from my file and blended the two. Then I converted the merged version to a greyscale and used the Topaz filter (In filters) to make it look like a painting. I actually used the Topaz a little too much, but you get the idea.

God Bless,

Rob
