At this point the only things I can suggest would be to reinstall PS or do a repair install, if it offers you the option. (I can't remember)
You could also try a system restore to a point prior to the problem. BTW if you try a restore and it doesn't help, you should undo the restore. |

Thanks so much for your help. I've tried system retore - no luck, and I can't re-install because I bought the software as a download and when I try to re-install it asks for a disc. There is no option to browse for a location. I think I'll have to contact the PS guys. |

Good morning. I thought you might like to know I've found a solution to the problem. It's not fixed but if I click on open, save or any other of the functions which aren't working - they still freeze but if I then press escape and click on them again ..... hey presto, they work. It's not ideal but at least I can use Photoshop again :O) |

I've now fixed it. It was something to do with page sizing and I had to load PS then press alt/shift/s - sorted :O) |

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. Alt+shift+s is normally a shortcut for setting the layer mode to screen. But if it works, whatever... |
