Please tell me honestly if the after photo looks realistic or not. My son took the before photo and also the buildings in the after photo and I thought the two shots together would make a better photo. I showed it to him and he thinks it doesn't look realistic (cuz he knows I altered it).
I also hope you can check out the website I made for him......on my computer the photos show that they're loading up but on other computers it doesn't so it makes you think you're clicking on albums and it's not responding. Need some feedback. http://mikejoe.ca
Thanks,
Rose

I think that the retouching looks really good. The colors are sharpened and it makes it look very nice. However, I do have to agree with your son. The buildings in the back look cartoony but they fit nice and if your not worried about them looking real, then your THERE. Hope to see more in the future!

I will see what else I can do to it. I have already changed the sky color.
Thank you very much for your comment.

i feel that the new buildings give the original photograph more appeal & certainly do not look out of place, however the colours are off, not just the sky.
what did post processing did you do?

I duplicated each of the photo layers and then gave it a gaussian blur and changed the layer to soft light.....then I added the clouds with brushes

Maybe thats is part of the problem adding the clouds with brushes, the sky seems slightly pixelated maybe not the right word but not right.
have you tried the following on the whole image:
levels adjustment layer followed by colour balance adjustment layer followed by hue/saturation adjustment layer & play around with controls until you get
what you are happy with.
have you tried dropping a sky from: http://www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=search&txt=Skies&w=1&x=24&y=9
or another stock photo image site.

Actually I did notice the pixeling of the sky. I did play around with the Adjustment, Hue/Saturation, because the original sky color was a lighter blue that looked fake, so I tried to darken it up. I think I will try to bring in a new sky and then post it up for your further comments.
Thanks alot!!

The retouch is great, and I think the buildings are kind of fun and actually fit in. The only thing I can recommend is the darkness of the ground beneath the car. It looks a little better when it's lighter on the before pic. It adds brightness.
