Just a suggestion but since it says SPLASH, that connotes water. So why not use dripping liquid looking letters.

I prefer the first one to the 'water' attempt. It looks like you just used a fractal brush and changed the colors? It looks good for 10 minutes  But if you take more time, I bet you can make some spectacular stuff. Keep the designs coming so you can grow as we critique, and visa versa.
