so, while i'm at it, is there a way to remove lens flare (if this is the proper term) from an image easily?
i have some ideas, but nothing i'm certain of, and would like advice before i going messing around. 
and yes, it's not a great pic - i didn't take it. but it's a good opportunity for me to learn how to fix this.

p.s. this is after i fixed the color using curves, from a photo taken on an indoor white balance setting.
