Hi there

The best and easiest way to change the size of the paint brush in my experience is the bracket keys on the keyboard.
[ = Decrease brush size
] = Increase brush size
SHIFT [ = Make brush softer
SHIFT ] = Make brush harder

Hope this helps

another way to change the size of the brush is to right-click and choose the size from the pop-up.

CS4 has a new trick for this that is saving me heaps of time-

On the pc hold alt and control and right click the mouse then roll the mouse left to right to re-size. To change the softness use alt control shift and right click and roll the mouse side to side.
I think its similar on the Mac but with a left click.
